I was looking to replace the two 8 ft dual bulb T12 flourescent fixtures in my basement workshop. I was concerned about getting something just as bright. When I flipped the switch after mounting and wiring these it was WOW. I may need to dim them! The quality is nice, the lights are amazing. If I were to mention any cons it would be how they snap together. It was a little meticulous to get the wires tucked in and if there was any pressure from the wire nuts or the feed wires, they would not stay snapped.I did have 2 14 ga romex wires. One to feed power and one to pass thru to the next light. Those wires are stiff and had to be tucked up as not to press down on the light or it would pop apartInstalled in November of 2020 and two of them died in just over a year. They were otherwise great in the garage. Great amount of light. Haven’t tried to see about getting them replaced yet. Will update after I try.UPADATE: Customer service was fantastic. Did warranty process through their website. Gave them all the info they asked for. They replied promptly, always by the following day, no later. As soon as they were available, they gave me a delivery date and the replacements arrived on that date. installed them and my garage is back to being well-lit. Kudos to their customer care department.Regarding what people say about the lens removal and install, I did not have any problems as others did. Carefully using a small flat-tip screwdriver made them easy to remove. Install was easy, too. I had both replaced in 30 minutes.Easy to install, brightGood light,So, these are really nice lighting for the price. Installed the 4 pack in my garage, tapping power off an existing center fluorescent fixture. Ran Romex stapled onto ceiling drywall, as attic was inaccessible, but it looks fine and works off the existing switch. Issue I ran into was installation. Wanted 2 banks of two on each side of garage, in straight line, with a 6ft connection cable between the two lights, one for each bank. So if you mount a fixture, then go to get the connector tab off, it is designed to be leveraged off with the light in your hand, not mounted, so take connector tabs off before mounting. I needed more than 12" between lights, so supplied connection cables didn't work for me, ordered a pair of 6ft cables to get better spacing. Also the supplied screws and mollies were (for me) very difficult to measure, drill and place the light in, admittedly I'm no expert, so I used my own screws and the job went 10x faster. Lastly, the plastic light covers are IMHO ridiculously difficult to remove and install, but got it done. Overall happy with result, more work than I was expecting. Oh, BTW using a chalk line was VERY helpful getting alignment. These lights with metal frames are an excellent purchase. They had 6 of the features I needed for an installation in my pole barn. Led lights can have a piercing appearance to your eye, but the diffusers take that away. They can be joined together in a conventional way because of knock outs on both ends and top. I gave a 4 star instead of 5 because they will need a bit of attention upon install. The clips that hold the light to the frame need to be squeezed with angled pliers to make it hold tighter. Sometimes the frame needs to be aligned due to a twist experienced during shipment. The mfg. needs to add box support in the center of this group of 4 to guarantee arrival in perfect condition. All said and done, It was worth it and I would buy them again.Lights are easy to install and like they came with jumper cords to join together. My biggest issue is can’t hide the power wires once light luminates due to lense is so thin and show’s right thru. I used white duct tape to hide wires and thankfully was in a garage so no big deal. These lights are easy to install and even easier to link together. I hardwired one of the units in place of a switch-controlled single bulb that we had in our garage and then linked additional units for bright, even light all around. The housings are very light and easy to maneuver and, due to their light weight, easy to install just about anywhere with 4 screws (don't use the ones provided - they are too small unless you use a washer). These lights are very bright. So bright that I may try to tone down the light a bit since the ceilings in my garage are only about 8 feet high.My one complaint is that the listing indicates the lights are 4000k (kelvin) but the temperature of the light is very white. I think they're closer to 5000 or maybe even higher so you probably would not want to use these in a living space.Several things; 1) You cannot use EMT pipe into the ends of these, lights must be mounted on box. 2) fixture lenses are awkward to re-install after removing to wire lights. 3) if you do surface mount these on a rectangular box and use EMT pipe to connect, you will need to put spacers on the ends of the lights to have them hang level.Overall they are a very good light for the price and light up my double car garage very nicely. What stops me from giving this item a 5 star rating is I found removing the covers somewhat difficult. They arrive with a plastic loop around them, designed I assume for you to pull the loop to pop out the cover from the light fixture. The plastic used is too thin and weak and breaks very easily. When that happens (3 out of the 4 lights for me) you are then left with trying to remove the cover without damaging it. Also, a minor point is that there is a wire inside the fixture that isn't secured to anything, therefore once the fixture is installed it lays on the cover and the shade of it can be seen through the cover. I suggest trying to secure (small TyWraps) that wire prior to installing.I ordered these to replace the florescent bulbs in my garage. They are super light and easy to install. The hardware that comes with the lights includes mounting screws, drywall anchors, and electrical grommets. The one other piece included that I really appreciated is two junction box screws to mount them to the box. As these are touted as being a replacement to florescent bulbs of which fixtures are not always mounted to the box, it was great to not have to search or go out to buy them. The lights are bright and light the area well. I did not use the additional cables however if you need another light in the area it does not need to be also hardwired, just plugged in to the other fixture.I replaced 4 old fluorescent lights in the garage with these LED lights.Fairly easy to install and these lights really work well. They are better than the old lights; cleaner and brighter light, no more fluorescent hum, they turn on fast, cheaper to run, and they come with wires where you can connect them to each other if you want.I would buy these again.I’m impressed with these lights as they made a big difference in my garage. Small washers should be used with the mounting screws to properly secure the lights but they are secure when mounted as normal. I love how they can be linked directly or using the short cords provided...very versatile in case I want to add more lights later on.
