This is a very cute decorative birdfeeder. I have to say the details on it are nice and the rotating light is a nice touch. I do feel like this is meant for smaller birds. Even with the extended perch it difficult for some blue jays to get at the food. Mostly i see them pick and drop as much and eat from the ground. But at least the birds like it. I did drop a star because I had to replace my first one. The light worked for a day then stopped worked. Replacement has been working well so far and even when it stops. Still looks nice from hanger.Can't wait to fill up and hang this adorable birdcage. The hinged lid is going to make fillups a breeze. It came with hardware to make hanging a cinch.Even with the seasonal transition I think it's going to attract lots of flittering friends. I'll update my review when it's fully charged.Does not have drain holes. Bottom fills with water and seeds start sprouting. This makes it hard to clean. I had to drill 7 small holes in the bottom to allow feeder to drain. The solar workes and lasts all night. However the top of feeder is bent.So far we have seen no downside to the lighthouse. The most impressive part is it stays lit up all night long. I really was not expecting a lot but so glad I bought it. Cute, fun, sturdy & keeps the lg birds out of it.Light goes on and of when it feels like it, lid latch was broken and hard for feed to come outTough product. I had two bears attack it and it held up. If I had to change something I would make the base a lot wider for the birds to land on To eat. I screwed a large plastic dish to the bottom and it worked great.Paint already pealing. Hard to clean
