The first set of these I ordered contained one light unit that did not work at all. I returned those and Amazon sent me a second set. They both work. They come on automatically when it gets dark. I have them at the top of my back porch stair rail. Helps to see the stairs more easily in the dark. Comes with some mounting hardware to attach them where you want them. They are very lightweight. I don’t know how long they will last, but they work for now. This product only last a couple of hours and bulky. Not worth it. one from the dollar store is betterConsidering that you get two New One Solar Outdoor Lights for $10 (with 10% off coupon, at the time of this review), it is no wonder that you are not getting the highest quality items. What you do get, though, is good value. With their all-plastic construction, I do not expect these lights to last more than three or four years. However, in that time, they will provide safety lighting at the exit of my pool. They work great in that capacity. If you don't mind the attic aesthetic, these will work fine for you. Conditionally RecommendedI really like the look of these. The light on top and bottom is so fun! We are using these in the front of our house on the edges of the patio. Occasionally they have fallen. We cannot drill them in or anything since it is on concrete. We have had to get more stinky things to get them to stay which is a bummer. Otherwise I feel that the few hours of sun they get is enough to keep them on most the night! These really are not a bad buy!!Ordered this set to use with our new floating house numbers. One of them does not turn on and the light on the one that is working is pretty dim. I wouldn't recommend them.
