What initially surprised me was the weight of the box these rope lights came in. The quality of this product is surprisingly much better that what I currently own. I'm replacing a rope light that we've had for 7 years that lines our flower beds in the backyard. I also like the ability to add on more sections if desired. The only thing I did not like was the inability to turn the string off or on without the included remote. If I lose or the dog eats this remote there will be no way to turn them on, hence the 4 stars instead of 5.
